Our principal attorney is Jonathan Davidoff. Mr. Davidoff’s extensive experience and education is an asset to our firm and invaluable to our clients. Mr. Davidoff is admitted to practice in the state courts of Florida, Massachusetts, New York, federal courts in Florida and New York, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Davidoff earned his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Bachelors of Business Administration from Emory University, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Miami, a Juris Doctor from New York Law School (magna cum laude), and a Master of Legal Letters from New York University School of Law.

Having previously served as a prosecutor for several years and represented clients involved in small and large matters, Mr. Davidoff is able to view cases from a very multifaceted perspective. Mr. Davidoff has represented clients such as: attorneys from large law firms such as Latham & Watkins, LLP and Kelley Dry & Warren, LLP who were involved in criminal matters, investment bankers from Bank of America (the Parmalat transactions) and Enron Corporation who were involved in two of the world’s largest corporate collapses, a former federal government employee in New Jersey Federal Court on theft of government funds (Section 8 housing), and clients charged with life felonies to simple misdemeanor and DUI/DWI charges.

Mr. Davidoff is also able to handle commercial matters involving criminal issues, such as when he represented a client whose attorney forged the buyers’ signature in a mortgage note, clients whose multi-million dollar company purchased was actually a worthless entity, a client who sought a divorce based on domestic violence, clients whose restaurant was purchased based on fraud and deception, matters involving corporations such as Hewlett-Packard and the grey market, doctors charged with health insurance and no-fault fraud, defamation actions, discrimination action, ADA violations, and many other legal issues. Mr. Davidoff is able to handle any type of litigation matter, as all litigation matters are different in their own right, so it is important to have an attorney like Jonathan Davidoff who has handled diverse cases in the past.

Mr. Davidoff’s commercial cases range from defamation to ADA violations to partnership disputes to discrimination, and everything in between. Whether a business investment went bad, your customers (clients or patients) refuse to pay or claim misconduct, there is fraud or theft involved with respect to your business or personal property or investments, there was a material misrepresentation that induced your investment or purchase, or any other misconduct is alleged (either by you or against you), Mr. Davidoff can and will zealously represent you and your interests.

Additionally, Mr. Davidoff has extensive experience in representing lenders, borrowers, sellers and purchasers of receivables. Mr. Davidoff has represented medical providers in their agreements with funding companies in which medical receivables were factored, as well as represented funding companies who either purchased or made advances on medical receivables. Mr. Davidoff’s experiences in representing these parties in both New York and Florida has resulted in successful results for his clients. Also, Mr. Davidoff has represented hotels and investors in ADA and discrimination actions, as well as landlords and website owners in which claims of ADA violations were asserted against them. Mr. Resnick has represented several Fortune 500 domestic and international companies in courtrooms throughout the country, but primarily represents corporations in Florida. Derek Schwartz is the corporate, tax and trust and estate attorney at the Davidoff Law Firm. Mr. Schwartz received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Emory University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. Mr. Schwartz’s practice areas include corporation formation and negotiations in transactions, estate planning, pre and post marriage planning, real estate transactions, title insurance, tax advice, asset protection planning, and probate matters. Mr. Schwartz has worked for three of the largest and most prestigious law firms in Florida, Holland & Knight, LLP, Shutts & Bowen, LLP, and Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
